From April 24 to 28, 2023, Vodafone invited genew to participate in the POC (Proof of Concept) test of the vOLT (Virtual OLT) solution for the GX3500-S series frame products in its TEVA laboratory located in Milan, Italy. vOLT is a new optical access solution based on Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) technology. In this solution, the traditional optical line terminal (OLT) equipment is virtualized, transformed into a software form, and runs on standard computing hardware to provide more flexible and scalable broadband access services.genew successfully passed the first phase of the test, verifying the feasibility of the vOLT solution, indicating a high maturity and usability of Zhenyou's products and solutions.
POC (Proof of Concept) validation testing, also known as concept verification testing, is a type of test conducted during the development process of a product or system. The primary purpose of POC testing is to verify whether a certain idea, design or method is feasible in theory, whether it can operate normally in practice, and whether it meets the expected functional and performance requirements.
